As we approach the end of the present year, I like to take a look back and reflect on everything that I have to be thankful for in 2016.  This year, the firm was blessed to have three dedicated interns from the University of Mary Washington.  Our three interns contributed the management of the firm and cases in countless ways.  2016 was a very busy year, and I don’t know how I could have managed without O.S., J.M., and A.H.  Thankfully, beginning January 2017, the firm will once again have three lovely interns to assist with the workload.

In addition to the help I have received, I am so very happy to have been able to help so many clients this year.  We have had successful outcomes in a variety of cases.  Some of the more challenging, yet victorious cases included the following:
  • investor visa status (L-1A);
  • provisional unlawful presence waiver (I-601A) and re-entry to the U.S. as a permanent resident;
  • U nonimmigrant adjustment of status (U visa green card);
  • military spouse parole in place and adjustment of status (military spouse green card);
  • cancellation of removal (green card from an immigration judge);
  • re-applications for citizenship; and
  • re-applications for green cards.

Each case, each family, each individual is special and unique.  It has been my pleasure to help my clients in 2016 and I look forward to hopefully helping new clients in 2017.

Happy Holidays.
